Capgemini Engineering is seeking a senior embedded software leader for on-site Palo Alto, CA. You will own software and validation on Linux/Android infotainment platforms, ramping up on the codebase, build pipelines, and regression tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Hands-on with high-performance SoCs (Snapdragon, NVIDIA Orin, MediaTek); automotive SoC exp is a plus.
• Expertise in Embedded Linux, QNX, DriveOS and Type-1 hypervisors (Gunyah/ACRN).
• Experience with infotainment/connectivity systems (camera/display, GNSS, Bluetooth, etc.).
• Strong C/C++ coding skills and Linux/Android kernel understanding.
• BSP/kernel bring-up, device trees, boot flow for eMMC/UFS/SSD/DRAM; debugging tools presence.

Responsibilities

• Ramp up on the existing codebase, build pipeline, and regression testing.
• Develop and maintain the software stack for hardware verification on Hypervisor, Linux, and Android.
• Design and run stress tests on CPU, GPU, NPU, and multimedia subsystems to locate bottlenecks and stability issues.
• Analyze and optimize ECU performance.
• Support board bring-up, design verification, and debugging with architecture, hardware, and software teams.
• Train and guide junior engineers.
• Provide weekly status, risk, and decision documentation to program leadership.
