Job summary
Capgemini Engineering seeks an experienced embedded software leader for onboard Linux/Android infotainment and connectivity platforms. You will own software and validation on high-performance SoCs, driving code, tests, and bring-up with cross-functional teams in Palo Alto.
The role demands strong C/C++ skills, kernel/driver expertise, and hands-on experience with hypervisors and automotive interfaces. Onsite work in Palo Alto with a focus on system-level optimization and leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's in CS/Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
- Proficient in Embedded Linux, QNX, DriveOS and Type-1 hypervisors (Gunyah/ACRN).
- Experience with infotainment/connectivity subsystems and automotive-grade SoCs.
- Strong C/C++ coding skills and kernel bring-up expertise.
Responsibilities
- Ramp up on the codebase, build pipeline, and regression testing.
- Develop and maintain software for hardware verification on Linux/Android.
- Design and run stress tests on CPU/GPU/NPU and subsystems.
- Analyze and optimize ECU performance.
- Support board bring-up and debugging with cross-functional teams.
- Train and guide junior engineers.
- Provide weekly status, risk, and decision documentation to leadership.
