Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead IT & IS operations across network, servers, cloud services, Wi‑Fi, storage, virtualization, and end‑user support
• Strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture (firewalls, endpoint protection, MFA, remediation) and disaster recovery planning
• Oversee help desk operations, ticketing, and escalation processes, providing hands‑on support as needed
• Manage ERP and enterprise applications (HRIS, maintenance, QA, procurement, reporting) and support ERP upgrade readiness
• Partner with operations, engineering, quality, HR, and finance to align systems with business needs and coordinate downtime and changes

On-Demand Group is seeking a Senior IT Manager to lead day-to-day IT operations and provide strategic direction across infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and ERP-related initiatives. This is a hands‑on leadership role in a lean IT team supporting a 24/7/365 manufacturing operation—success will come from strong business partnership, calm execution, and a service‑oriented mindset.

What you’ll do

• Lead IT & IS operations across network, servers, cloud services, Wi‑Fi, storage, virtualization, and end‑user support
• Own and strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture (firewalls, endpoint protection, patching, MFA, vulnerability remediation, access controls)
• Drive disaster recovery, backups, and business continuity planning
• Oversee help desk operations, ticketing, support standards, and escalations (jumping in hands‑on as needed)
• Provide oversight of ERP and enterprise applications (HRIS, maintenance, quality, procurement, reporting, etc.) and support preparation for an upcoming ERP upgrade
• Partner closely with operations/production, engineering, quality, HR, and finance to align systems with business needs and coordinate any changes/downtime appropriately
• Manage vendors, telecom, remote access, hardware lifecycle, and licensing/service contracts
• Lead and develop a small internal team (network admin, software developer, help desk)

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science (or related)
• 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or “working manager” responsibility
• Strong hands‑on background in infrastructure and cybersecurity (networking, servers, sysadmin)
• ERP + enterprise applications experience (manufacturing/plant‑connected systems strongly preferred)
• Experience overseeing software development and/or system integrations
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner with non‑technical stakeholders
• Comfortable supporting a manufacturing environment where downtime must be planned and tightly coordinated

Preferred

• Food/dairy processing or industrial manufacturing experience
• Exposure to OT/IT separation best practices
• Experience in a cooperative or member‑owned environment

Work is performed in a standard office environment within a dairy manufacturing facility.

May require occasional visits to production or lab areas for meetings or coordination.

Standard business hours with occasional extended hours during peak periods.

The projected salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000.
