Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to advise on security for information systems and provide day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities. The role requires DoD-level security oversight and strong leadership in cyber risk management.

The ISSM will lead security planning, RMF/JSIG guidance, risk assessments, and security testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years of related experience
• US Citizenship Required: Yes
• Information System Security Certifications: None

Responsibilities

• Lead, cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with other DoD agencies managers, data stewards, and senior leadership to foster productive and positive cyber security profile
• Participate in the strategic planning and implementation of the Cyber Security Program
• Provide expert input to the RMF/JSIG authorization process and advise on RMF assessment issues
• Develop and implement a security assessment plan
• Perform risk assessments and recommend actions to DoD customers
• Advise government program managers on testing methodologies and processes
• Coordinate with PSO or cognizant security official on approval of external information systems
• Conduct periodic assessments of security posture across authorization boundaries
• Ensure CM and documentation are properly maintained and updated
• Develop and implement information security education, training, and awareness programs
• Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities to determine additional safeguards needed
• Review AIS assessment plans and coordinate external collaborations
• Provide expert research and analysis in cyber security programs
• Develop Assured File Transfers (AFT) in accordance with JSIG
