Job summary

HX5, LLC is seeking an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to support Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT. The role will provide senior-level cybersecurity guidance as the primary advisor to the Authorizing Official and Program Manager, ensuring integration of cybersecurity across the system lifecycle in accordance with DoD directives.

Ideal candidates hold DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP) and have extensive RMF and NIST framework experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 12 years directly related experience, 5+ years in DoD
• DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level II certification required (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP)
• Experience implementing RMF, NIST SP 800-53/800-171 controls and accreditation artifacts

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary ISSM advisor to the AO, PM, and ISO
• Integrate cybersecurity throughout IT lifecycle per DoDI 8510.01
• Maintain current authorization to operate and POA&M actions
• Develop ISCM strategy with PM/AO and monitor system changes
• Oversee ISSOs and ensure training and certifications are up to date
• Ensure documentation and artifacts for AF IT security are current
