Job summary

ALKU is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to lead the cybersecurity function in a hybrid role based in Andover, MA. You will own day-to-day security operations and the long-term security strategy, interfacing with MSSP and MSP partners while steering risk-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive information security experience, hands-on AWS security, and deep Microsoft 365 security expertise. Strong communication with leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive information security experience, with 2-3+ years in a senior or lead role.
• Hands-on AWS security experience: encryption and secure environment oversight.
• Experience managing or overseeing MSSPs and/or MSPs in an enterprise or mid-market environment.
• Recent hands-on experience driving cybersecurity strategy and operations within a Microsoft-centric environment, including Defender/Entra ID/CA.

Responsibilities

• Security Strategy & Governance: Drive and maintain ALKU’s cybersecurity roadmap and controls.
• Establish and communicate security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.
• Report on security posture and program maturity to senior leadership.
• Help drive risk assessments, remediation planning, and evaluate security investments and vendors.
• Serve as primary contact with MSSP/MSP for alert tuning, detection coverage, and incident reviews.
• Ensure SLAs and security commitments from partners are met.
• Oversee security for AWS, Azure, SaaS platforms, and custom apps at ALKU.
