Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking an experienced Information Security leader to drive client security programs, governance, and strategy across regulated industries. You will advise executives on policies, standards, and incident management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust controls, coordinate audits, monitor threats, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure resilience.

Qualifications

• Five years of information security leadership experience (CISO, vCISO, or senior security leader).
• At least three years in security operations, security engineering, vulnerability management, or sys admin.
• Consulting or managed services experience across regulated industries (healthcare, financial services, govt).
• Three years implementing and operating controls for frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI DSS.
• Experience as security point of contact during external audits/assessments (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA).
• Experience scoping regulated systems and data, determining controls, and using data classification and network segmentation.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks (NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-30, ISO 27005, ISO 31000, FAIR).
• Experience with data protection technologies (encryption, tokenization, DLP, secure coding).

Responsibilities

• Lead security program leadership and operations across client environments.
• Develop and implement information security programs meeting regulatory requirements.
• Advise executive leadership on strategy, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Update executives on security plan progress, threats, and incidents.
• Maintain security policies to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Monitor programs and environment changes to keep controls effective.
• Oversee security solutions to improve overall posture.
• Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
• Deliver security awareness training programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure solutions.
• Lead or participate in client steering committees and working groups.
• Coordinate with client security teams on incident detection, response, and SLAs.
