Job summary

Capital Group in Los Angeles seeks a Business Information Security Principal to lead the evolution of our Global Information Security strategy within the North America Client Group. You will strengthen the cyber risk posture and coordinate major uplift programs across business units.

As a senior security leader, you will partner with stakeholders to embed privacy controls and data protection technologies, ensuring risk-aware security aligns with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, business, technology, or a related field. Security certifications such as CISSP are a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in cyber security.
• Experience in the financial industry or technology sector with collaboration to implement security policies.
• Strong understanding of cyber security technologies and tools, including data protection strategies, encryption, and access management.
• Worked with cross-functional technology teams to implement privacy controls in complex environments.
• Understanding of technology controls as they relate to data protection (e.g. encryption).
• Managed and influenced stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the evolution of Global Information Security strategy and drive cyber risk posture improvements.
• Lead major cybersecurity uplift programs and provide first-line leadership in incident management.
• Partner with stakeholders to embed effective, risk-aware security practices across the business.
• Serve as a senior security leader and liaison between Global Information Security and the business to align priorities.
