Job summary

Office of the State Comptroller is seeking a cybersecurity leader to perform advanced security duties, supervise IT security staff, and coordinate with state and federal entities to identify and respond to threats to New York State assets.

The role emphasizes guiding teams on developing, deploying, and maintaining security solutions, enforcing policies, and maturing risk analysis programs within NYSLRS systems.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of information technology, cybersecurity, or information assurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team tasks, training, work plans, and performance reviews.
• Provide guidance to teams responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining NYSLRS information security solutions.
• Ensure that all OSC ISO security policies, standards, and directives are upheld and maintained for NYSLRS systems.
• Implement plans to mature NYSLRS information security risk analysis and management processes.
• Participate in collection of data for investigative purposes as required by the ISO.
• Supervise staff in their daily tasks and provide guidance.
