Leidos has a new opportunity for a Sr. Information System Security Engineer in the Intel Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA).

You will join a high-performing agile team using SAFe to support a fast-paced program, driving security architecture, RMF compliance, and SVT across development, test, and production environments. The role demands hands-on vulnerability testing, experience with security tooling (Nessus, NMAP, Wireshark), and strong collaborative skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security or related discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience
• Solid understanding of security practices and hands-on vulnerability testing experience
• Experience applying Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Formulating and assessing IT security policy
• Knowledge of common security tools: Nessus, NMAP, Wireshark
• Experience with secure OS configurations
• Ability to work on multiple systems in fast-moving environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Dop 8570 IASAE/ISSEP/CISSP familiarity (preferred)
• Experience with penetration testing tools and scripting

Responsibilities

• Validate and verify system security requirements and designs for large-scale, distributed systems
• Identify and implement information security architectures to enforce security policy
• Develop technical solutions and standards for secure architecture
• Assess and mitigate security threats throughout the program life cycle
• Lead security planning, risk analysis, risk management and certification activities
• Collaborate with internal technical experts on security initiatives
• Communicate security issues to Program Managers and customer points of contact
• Participate in Program Increment Planning and agile team activities
• Work with System Engineering and Test teams to ensure security compliance
• Assess implementation against security policies and recommend enhancements
• Evaluate security solutions against customer requirements
• Assess impact of new development on security posture
• Test critical software for security
• Formulate and enforce information security policies and methodologies
• Audit and assess security configurations using standard methodologies
• Manage security strategies across distributed components
• Provide configuration management for security-relevant software
• Serve as security architecture SME to PMs and customers
• Define security compliance requirements for new features
• Identify and remediate security issues throughout the system
• Support risk assessment, continuous monitoring and IA program functions
• Work with development teams to address vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
• Plan and conduct security verification testing of Type 1 devices
