Job summary

Cook County Government seeks a security engineering professional to serve as a technical expert for enterprise-wide security initiatives. You will develop standards, guide leadership on enhancements, and help plan responses to security breaches.

The role supports data forensics, cybersecurity R&D, and ISSE programs, and assists users with installing security products and procedures. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and 4 years of information security engineering experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience acceptable.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop security standards and best practices for the organization.
• Recommend security enhancements to leadership.
• Assist in strategies to respond to security breaches.
