Job summary

Cook County Offices Under The President is seeking a technical expert to lead organization-wide security engineering initiatives. Develop security standards and best practices and advise leadership on enhancements. Support strategies to respond to breaches and advance ISSE programs.

You will assist with data forensics, security product deployment, and guidance on information security practices, while coordinating with stakeholders to implement complex security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Four (4) years of information systems security engineering or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop security standards and best practices for the organization.
• Advise leadership on security enhancements and response strategies to breaches.
• Assist with data forensic capabilities, cyber security R&D, and ISSE programs.
• Assist users with installation or processing of new security products and procedures.
• Explain information security practices and standards to staff and address non-standard issues.
