Job summary

Peraton operates as a national security-focused IT provider seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer – SCA to support Federal Strategic Cyber programs in Quantico, VA. You will assess security controls, review documentation, and coordinate with system owners, ISSEs, and ISSOs to remediate items and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems.
• DoD 8140.03 proficiency (Work Role 612).
• CISSP or CEH and one of: CCNP Enterprise, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, GDSA, GICSP.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph ability.
• Advanced degree from the listed fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess security controls for accuracy and evidence.
• Review system documentation and accept/reject documents.
• Coordinate with System Owner, ISSE, and ISSO to remediate items.
• Monitor systems across ISSM portfolio for quality.
• Prepare risk management documentation for system authorization.
• Serve as principal technical cybersecurity advisor.
• Track, report, and communicate status and risks to leadership.
