While this position resides within Information Security, the ideal candidate will bring a combination of governance, risk, controls, process automation, and data management experience. This role is less focused on hands‑on cybersecurity operations and more focused on improving how security controls are executed, measured, governed, and reported across a large enterprise environment.
This individual will partner closely with Information Security, Risk, Technology, Data, and Development teams to modernize governance processes through automation, scalable workflows, and repeatable control execution models.
What You'll Be Doing
- Execute governance processes supporting enterprise data-at-rest protection requirements.
- Analyze existing control activities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and standardization.
- Translate security policy and control requirements into scalable governance processes and workflows.
- Partner with technical teams to implement solutions that improve control effectiveness and reduce manual effort.
- Evaluate risk and control gaps and help drive remediation efforts across stakeholder groups.
- Support the design, testing, validation, and ongoing maintenance of automated and semi-automated control processes.
- Ensure automated control outputs accurately align with intended control objectives and risk outcomes.
- Produce audit-ready documentation, reporting packages, governance summaries, and performance metrics.
- Support enterprise reporting initiatives, including risk, compliance, and information protection metrics.
- Contribute to responsible automation and AI adoption initiatives through governance oversight and validation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity Governance, IT Risk, GRC, Compliance, or related disciplines.
- Experience operating within a large, regulated enterprise environment with formal audit and governance requirements.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and control frameworks.
- Experience supporting or enabling automation of repeatable governance, compliance, or control processes.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex assignments with minimal oversight.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting, metrics, dashboarding, or governance reviews.
Technical Skills & Tools Required:
- Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse to support governance workflows, control execution, reporting, metrics, or audit-defensible recordkeeping.
- Practical experience building or enhancing governance solutions using automation, scripting, or low-code platforms.
- Experience leveraging Dataverse to create or support operational tools used for governance, risk, or information security programs.
Automation & Integration
- Basic to intermediate scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting data extraction, validation, reconciliation, or control automation activities.
- Experience consuming REST APIs and supporting system integrations for reporting, governance, or operational workflows.
- Ability to document automation logic, assumptions, and limitations in an audit-defensible manner.
Reporting & Analytics
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data validation, pivot tables, and complex analysis.
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise metrics, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Ability to validate automated outputs and ensure results accurately represent business and risk requirements.
Communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex governance, risk, and security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations, governance summaries, and audit documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power Automate experience.
- Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Information Protection or Data Security program experience.
- Metrics governance, KPI ownership, or reporting program experience.
- Experience with enterprise-approved Generative AI tools and understanding of human-in-the-loop governance controls.
Why This Role?
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, solving governance challenges, and leveraging technology to reduce manual effort. You'll play a key role in helping evolve critical security governance activities from manual processes into repeatable, scalable, and sustainable control execution models that support enterprise risk management, audit readiness, and regulatory expectations.
