Job summary

The California Independent System Operator (ISO) seeks an experienced Information Governance Manager to lead the ISO’s governance program, overseeing lifecycle management, retention, legal holds, and disposition across enterprise information assets.

Responsibilities include building metrics, guiding cross-functional governance initiatives, and partnering with Legal, IT, and Compliance to ensure governance is embedded in enterprise processes and technology. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Information Governance, Information Management, Records Management, Library and Information Science, Business, Legal Studies or IT).
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Ten+ years of related experience with five+ years in a lead role.
• Certifications in information governance or related fields are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ISO's Information Governance Program and serve as the primary SME for information lifecycle management and records retention.
• Develop governance standards, roadmaps, and dashboards to monitor program effectiveness.
• Oversee records retention schedules, legal holds, disposition, information inventory, and related governance activities.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT, Compliance, Communications, and business units to embed governance into processes and systems.
