Job summary

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach is seeking a Sr. Information Security Analyst in Seal Beach, CA to design, configure, monitor, and improve security controls.

You will assist the CISO with risk assessments, implement controls, and document results while supporting incident response and after-hours needs. Candidate will automate security tasks using Python/PowerShell, manage Windows/Linux servers, and work with SIEM tools.

Qualifications

• Understanding of information security concepts and domains.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux servers or network systems (Arista, Cisco, HP).
• Understanding/security technologies: firewalls (Fortinet), web app firewalls, IDS/IPS, email gateways, vulnerability scanners, forensics tools.
• Exposure to log/packet capture and decoding of attack signatures (SQL injections, XSS).
• Experience with vendor collaboration on security projects.
• Strong AD/SQL security and OS security knowledge.
• Azure, M365 cloud security, and Intune familiarity.
• SIEM experience (Splunk, Sum oLogic).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and monitor security controls for the bank systems.
• Assist CISO with risk assessments and security control documentation.
• Participate in security technology R&D to reduce vulnerabilities.
• Automate security activities and data analysis via scripting (Python, PowerShell, PERL).
• Document work activities in logs, reports, and project tracking systems.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Follow Change Management procedures to minimize production disruption.
• Provide on-call end-user support after hours as needed.
• Perform security-related MS SQL database administration.
