Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join our team on-site in California. You will support access controls, monitor security events, and help automate alerting across bank systems.

Collaborate with IT and security teams, perform first-line incident response, and contribute to threat research and remediation. A Bachelor's degree and relevant certifications are preferred, with minimal travel.

Qualifications

• 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Security/SOC Analyst or comparable role required.
• Industry standard certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead role in conducting security research on threats and remediation techniques and technology.
• Makes recommendations to Information Security and IT teams and oversees implementation.
• Tier 1 for all security event analysis and intrusion detection (IDS/IPS) incident response.
• Proactively monitors and investigates network security alerts.
