Qualifications

• MD or DO with accredited residency and board certification.
• Minimum 3 years experience treating people living with HIV/AIDS in a diverse environment.
• Desired: AAHIVM certification.
• Current Maryland license to practice medicine.
• Federal DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction to the organization on Infectious Disease issues and serves as CBHS’s primary clinical consultant in Infectious Disease.
• Keeps clinical staff updated on HIV guidelines and new research through regular staff presentations and communicates updates to relevant departments.
• Represents CBHS to medical and patient communities as an expert in HIV medicine and maintains timely responses to inquiries.
• Maintains comprehensive patient records with accurate social histories, allergies, and health habits, and ensures appropriate action on lab results.
• Participates in internal committees and task forces, collaborating with Pharmacy and other teams to optimize HIV care and formulary access.
