Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Sr. Program Manager for Infection Control, focusing on High-Level Disinfection & Sterilization and the Built Environment.

You will drive best practices, regulatory readiness, and integration of infection prevention into daily operations and large-scale improvements across the system. Reporting to the Director of Infection Control, you will partner with clinical, operational, and facilities leaders to advance safe, standardized practices and support enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of program management experience.
• 1–2 years of team leadership experience.
• CIC certification required.
• Experience in a complex academic health center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead systemwide infection prevention strategies aligned with clinical, regulatory, and organizational priorities.
• Be the go-to expert on disinfection, sterilization, and reusable medical device reprocessing across care settings.
• Advise on built environment infection prevention and design, including planning and renovation.
• Support risk assessment and mitigation for reprocessing deviations and environmental hazards.
• Develop and evolve Infection Control policies and governance structures.
• Collaborate with Central Sterile, Facilities, Real Estate, Engineering, Quality & Safety, Environmental Services, and Clinical Compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement to strengthen infection prevention across the system.
• Ensure regulatory readiness across accreditation, licensure, and public health requirements.
• Take on additional initiatives as the program evolves.
