Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated seeks an experienced leader to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive infection prevention and control program across multiple locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety.

You will lead a team of infection preventionists, collaborate with clinical and quality teams, and prepare for inspections while driving continuous improvement in infection prevention practices across our system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, or related field required.
• 5-7 years infection control experience; 3-5 years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention standards and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage infection control programs, policies, and procedures to comply with regulatory standards like CDC, OSHA, and The Joint Commission.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret infection data to identify outbreaks and improvement areas and present findings to leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Lead and mentor a team of infection preventionists, promoting continuous learning, conducting performance evaluations, and providing coaching.
• Design and deliver training programs for staff on infection prevention practices to ensure compliance with protocols.
• Work with clinical leaders, quality teams, and other departments to integrate infection control practices and support quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain compliance with all infection control-related regulations and standards and prepare for regulatory inspections, audits, and surveys.
• Lead investigations of infection outbreaks, develop action plans, and implement measures to control and prevent the spread of infections.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on best practices, recommending new technologies and methods to enhance infection control programs.
