Mass General Brigham is seeking a Sr. Program Manager for Infection Control focused on High-Level Disinfection & Sterilization (HLD/S) and the Built Environment.

The role is enterprise-wide, partnering with clinical, operations, and facilities leaders to embed infection prevention in planning, design, and daily operations. Reporting to the Director of Infection Control, you will lead systemwide initiatives, ensure regulatory readiness, and help shape safety culture across care settings while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of program management experience required.
• 1–2 years of team leadership experience required.
• CIC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead systemwide infection prevention strategies across clinical, regulatory, and organizational priorities.
• Serve as the go-to expert on high-level disinfection, sterilization, and reusable medical device reprocessing.
• Oversee built environment considerations including facility planning, water management, and HVAC/airflow.
• Provide guidance on regulatory standards and best practices for reprocessing and environmental infection prevention.
• Support risk assessment, investigations, and mitigation for reprocessing deviations and environmental hazards.
• Develop and evolve Infection Control policies and governance structures.
• Partner with Central Sterile, Facilities, Real Estate, Engineering, Quality & Safety, Environmental Services, and Clinical Compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement to strengthen infection prevention practices across the system.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance across accreditation, licensure, and public health requirements.
• Take on additional initiatives as the program evolves.
