Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar technical field.
• 7+ years of experience developing and using mathematical or physics-based models for military applications.
• Experience with performance analysis for maritime navigation or missile guidance systems.
• Experience modeling navigation sensors including IMUs, GPS, or navigational sonars (DVL/CVR).
• Mentoring/knowledge sharing experience.

Responsibilities

• Master the mathematical models governing inertial navigation system performance for US Navy fleet.
• Derive physics-based models for how navigation aids interact with inertial systems.
• Assess the fidelity of navigation systems and communicate conclusions to decision-makers.
• Mentor colleagues to grow subject matter expertise in mathematical physics-based modeling for navigation sensors.
