Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for its Schenectady, NY facility to design, procure, install and qualify new manufacturing equipment, delivering production-ready processes.

You will support tooling development, procedures, and standards to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with Design Engineers to ensure manufacturability, manage New Product Introduction, perform root cause analysis and lead continuous improvement and automation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 4 years in production manufacturing, or 8+ years with a high-school diploma.
• 3 years in equipment procurement, implementation or tooling/fixture design.
• Proven experience in heavy industrial manufacturing and project management.
• CAD software experience: NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, procure, install and qualify new manufacturing equipment with project management of teams and vendors.
• Develop tooling, procedures, and standards to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and lead continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Manage New Product Introduction including tooling and equipment acquisition and cross-functional scheduling.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
