Position Description:

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Process Engineer to join our Water Team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and at least fifteen years of relevant experience. The candidate should be self-motivated, collaborative, and possess excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing technical planning, process/mechanical design, and construction support for water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects.
2. Engaging in positioning and prospecting activities with potential industrial clients requiring water and wastewater treatment services.
3. Preparing engineering calculations, running process models (e.g., Excel, Biowin, GPS-X), and supporting analysis of alternatives, including technical memoranda and basis of design documentation.
4. Developing design reports and construction plans for industrial treatment facilities following local and state standards.
5. Assisting with specifications, permit submissions, scope, budget, and schedule management.
6. Monitoring project budgets and progress, documenting design changes, and conducting on-site inspections and start-up activities.
7. Preparing project status reports, assisting in proposal development, and participating in client and project meetings.
8. Engaging with professional groups, publishing, and presenting at conferences, and actively contributing to Wade Trim’s Water and Wastewater Treatment Practice.
9. Maintaining strong client relations and ensuring a safe working environment.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience serving as the engineer of record on significant water/wastewater projects (> $50M).
• Proficiency with large-scale piping, valves, pumps, treatment technologies, and process modeling software (Biowin, GPS-X).
• Expertise in biological and physical/chemical treatment processes, water reuse, and industry-specific water systems.
• Experience in sales support for large projects and active involvement in professional associations.
