Join to apply for the Senior Engineer/Water Practice Leader role at GEI Consultants, Inc.

We are seeking a Senior Civil, Structural, Hydraulic, or Geotechnical Engineer to add technical, project management, and business development expertise to our team. This individual will support our growing Water Control and Conveyance work across the company.

Responsibilities

1. Provide program or project level management and technical guidance for design, construction, and remediation of major water infrastructure, including water control (dams, levees, hydropower facilities, hydraulic structures) and conveyance (tunnels, diversion structures, drop shafts, pump stations, pipelines, canals, and penstocks).
2. Maintain high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in professional organizations, and industry event presentations.
3. Develop business by leveraging relationships and knowledge of water control and conveyance clients, programs, and infrastructure.
4. Assist in recruiting, mentoring, and training staff.
5. Travel between offices and project/client sites, with some overnight travel required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Recognized senior leader in water control and/or conveyance projects with a record of technical excellence and innovative solutions.
• Success in managing substantial water infrastructure projects and accounts.
• Existing relationships with water control and conveyance clients and knowledge of relevant programs and infrastructure.
• Strong leadership skills and team-building capability.
• B.S. in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 10+ years in project management.
• Professional Engineering license required.
