Elevate Human Capital seeks an experienced Valve Engineer for a client in the south Houston, TX area. The role focuses on selecting, designing, specifying, testing, and maintaining industrial valves and actuators within piping systems to meet project, safety, and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to support installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations, while driving reliability improvements and technical documentation across

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in valve engineering, piping, or mechanical systems.
• Familiar with 3D modeling and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of industrial valve types, materials, and actuation methods.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes.

Responsabilidades

• Select and specify valves (gate, globe, ball, butterfly, control, safety/relief) based on process conditions and standards.
• Review project requirements, P&IDs, data sheets, and specifications related to valves and actuators.
• Prepare and review valve datasheets, material specs, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers on clarifications, quotations, and compliance.
• Support inspection, testing, and QA activities (FAT, SAT, pressure testing).
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO).
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operation.
• Assist in troubleshooting valve performance or failure issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to valve performance and reliability.
