Senior Industrial Reliability Technician / Site Lead

Rotating Equipment Specialists, LLC | Apple Grove, WV | Full-Time

Rotating Equipment Specialists, LLC (RES) is seeking an experienced industrial reliability professional to support our customer in Apple Grove, West Virginia. This person will perform hands‑on machinery diagnostics and serve as RES’s primary point of contact at the site.

We’re looking for someone who can evaluate equipment condition, communicate findings clearly, and help keep the work organized. Strong leadership skills matter in this role: you should be comfortable guiding other technicians, building a productive relationship with customer personnel, and knowing when to bring a concern to RES leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Collect and analyze vibration and other machinery condition data on motors, pumps, fans, gearboxes, bearings, and related rotating equipment
• Identify developing faults and provide practical, well‑documented recommendations
• Perform or support infrared thermography, ultrasonic inspections, lubrication analysis, laser shaft alignment, and precision field balancing, according to your experience
• Work with portable, continuous, and wireless condition‑monitoring systems
• Communicate significant findings and equipment concerns promptly to the customer and RES
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for site personnel, helping coordinate priorities and follow‑up work
• Help guide and support developing technicians while maintaining consistent work quality and safe practices
• Prepare clear reports and maintain accurate equipment history

What We’re Looking For

• CAT II or CAT II Certified Analyst
• Hands‑on experience in vibration analysis, machinery diagnostics, industrial reliability, or predictive maintenance
• The ability to assess rotating equipment problems and explain findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Sound judgment about which equipment concerns need prompt attention or escalation
• Strong communication, organization, and customer‑service skills
• A dependable, safety‑focused approach to working in an industrial facility
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of day‑to‑day site responsibilities
• A valid driver’s license

Experience leading technicians, coordinating site work, or serving as a customer’s main technical contact is strongly preferred. Experience with infrared, ultrasound, alignment, balancing, and online condition‑monitoring systems is valuable; we do not expect every candidate to have worked with every technology.

This is a hands‑on industrial role that involves extended periods of walking and standing, climbing stairs and ladders, working around operating machinery, wearing required PPE, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
