Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Service Technician to service industrial refrigeration systems at customer sites across North America.

You will lead maintenance, repair, and support, with a focus on ammonia and CO2 systems and electrical controls, ensuring safe, reliable operation. The role requires 5+ years of experience, high school diploma or GED, EPA certification or ability to obtain, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC school preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• EPA certification required or ability to obtain.
• RETA 1&2 certification preferred.
• Safety-sensitive role with pre-employment drug testing.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work long shifts, and use respirator.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert repair and maintenance for industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on screw and reciprocal compressors.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies, including PPE and respirators.
• Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with Service Managers and customers.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians in developing skills and maintaining service quality.
