Job summary

Sterling Industrial LLC is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee site activities, manage cost reporting, and coordinate schedules for multi-project customer engagements. The role involves heavy travel and relocation to job sites as needed, with responsibility for budgets, subcontractors, and design-build processes.

Candidate should have extensive experience in heavy industrial construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a team from bid to handoff,

Qualifications

• 15 years’ experience in heavy industrial construction preferred.
• Experience with projects $50M or above.
• Design-Build experience a plus.
• Problem-solving skills
• Decision-making skills
• Effective communication skills.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Managing job cost reporting processes; track quantities and develop reports for status, cost versus budget, cost forecasting, and scheduling updates.
• Build and maintain project schedules from bid time through project completion; coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare payment applications, schedule updates, and status reports to the client.
• Manage flow of technical information between customers and the company; coordinate with Quality Control and Project Management.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and purchase order contracts and payments, including change requests.
• Lead in conversion of estimates to budgets for new projects and participate in project handoff.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and/or engineering

High School diploma or GED
