Job summary

HDR in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Industrial Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams through the full project lifecycle within the Resources Business Group. You will drive delivery across development, initiation to close-out, manage budgets, and mentor staff to ensure quality execution.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years PM experience and strong communication, organizational, and software skills. Local candidates preferred; full-time on-site position in North Carolina.

Senior Industrial Project Manager – Resources Business Group

HDR is looking for a Senior Industrial Project Manager to join our Resources Business Group in Charlotte. In this role, we'll count on you to:

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s lifecycle (from development & initiation to close‑out).
• Take responsibility for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium‑sized projects with high degree of technical complexity involving a large project staff.
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Establish and maintain client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort with the team to keep work within agreed‑to budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operational, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures.
• Supervise large project staff and mentor less‑experienced Project Managers.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• PMP certification; local candidates are preferred
