Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC seeks a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of mechanical, process utility, piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems for industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of facility mechanical engineering experience, a Mechanical PE license, and strong expertise in utility and process piping. Responsibilities include leading design from concept through construction, mentoring staff, and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Active Mechanical PE license.
• 10–20 years of mechanical HVAC and piping design in industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of utility piping, process piping, plumbing and HVAC.
• Familiarity with ASME, USDA, FDA, OSHA, and ASHRAE standards.
• Ability to review drawings, models, calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and process utility design for industrial facilities.
• Design utility piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and PMs.
• Develop AutoCAD 2D drawings and Revit 3D models.
• Perform equipment sizing, calculations, layouts, and design evaluations.
• Contribute to design standards and continuous improvement.
• Oversee projects from concept through construction documentation.
• Ensure delivery within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
