Job summary

Zachry Group seeks an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent to lead and oversee industrial maintenance at the CPC Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, Texas. You will manage maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and client relationships in a heavy industrial environment, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in a related field; equivalent industry experience may be substituted for education.
• Minimum 5 years supervising maintenance activities in heavy industrial/petrochemical environments.
• Experience maintaining pipe fabrication systems, furnaces, heat exchangers, filters, reactors, extruders, compressors, boilers.

Responsibilities

• Manage field maintenance, construction, engineering, and project support activities.
• Supervise development of maintenance and project schedules and monitor production for timely completion.
• Review cost reports and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining productivity.
• Establish labor requirements and coordinate staffing with management.
• Define project organization structure and coordinate staffing with supporting departments.
• Provide leadership and an execution framework focused on safety, quality, and profitability.
• Conduct regular field inspections and address progress, quality, and safety concerns.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with specs and policies.
• Build strong client relationships to promote cooperation and future opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and owner representatives to resolve operational challenges.
• Lead safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
