Job summary

QVC is seeking a Facilities Mechanic III to maintain and troubleshoot material handling systems and building components, including pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, PLCs, VFDs, and other controls. You’ll report to the Maintenance Area Manager and work Sunday through Wednesday, 5:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m. Responsibilities include repairs across facilities and production equipment, maintaining conveyors, and participating in TPM projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus industrial mechanic coursework or certification, or equivalent military technical training.
• Five years of experience with mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyor, sortation, or similar equipment.
• Two years of leadership or mentoring experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Working knowledge of voltage meters and AC/DC systems.
• Knowledge of building codes, the National Electrical Code, NFPA standards, and OSHA regulations is preferred.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate general facility repairs, including plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repairs.
• Complete planned and unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance on production equipment, powered industrial trucks, and building equipment.
• Maintain conveyor and sorter operations by performing and supporting planned and unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Apply a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems, use a voltage meter, and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Help implement continuous improvement processes, including TPM activities.
• Follow applicable safety and environmental regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, parts, and repairs in the CMMS.
• Mentor team members by supporting their orientation and training and assigning related work tasks.
