Job summary

Kohl's is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in Ohio to coordinate and implement repairs and perform equipment and facility maintenance cost-efficiently. Qualifications

• Must provide own basic set of tools and keep the work area neat and clean.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and repair of conveyor systems and equipment.
• Routine inspection and maintenance of air compressors, compactors, bailers, cardboard conveyors and power systems.
• Repair of fire protection equipment.
• Parts administration and inventory upkeep.
• Plan for future preventive maintenance with supervisors.
• Collaborate with managers to improve productivity.
• Provide back-up for department leadership when absent.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reports.
• Provide on-the-job training to associates.
• Perform minor electrical/plumbing work and painting.
• Maintain heating and cooling units and facility lighting.
• Assist outside contractors on projects.
• Respond promptly to jams and maintenance issues.

About the Role

As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will efficiently coordinate and implement repairs and perform equipment and facility maintenance in a cost-effective manner.

What You'll Do

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment
• Routine inspection, preventative maintenance and maintenance of air compressors, compactors, bailers, cardboard conveyors and power and material handling equipment
• Perform inspection and repair of fire protection equipment
• Parts administration
• Meet with department supervisor and/or manager to anticipate and plan for future preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to address mechanical opportunities while ensuring optimum processing productivity
• Provide back-up for department Assistant Manager and/or Manager when absent
• Compile and maintain accurate inventory records and reports
• Provide on-the-job (OJT) training to Associates
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office furniture moves
• Perform routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning units
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility
• Assist outside contractors to perform various duties
• Promptly answer calls for jams, malfunctions or other maintenance-related issues
