Job summary

Randstad USA is assisting a major Atlanta-area PET bottle plant in finding a master-level Senior Maintenance Mechanic. You’ll serve as the resident expert on Sidel SBO Series 1 lines, delivering high-level mechanical work and troubleshooting while reducing downtime.

The role requires 10+ years in PET packaging maintenance, deep hands-on mastery, and strong pneumatic, electrical, and PLC diagnostic skills. Excellent compensation, full benefits, and year-round production await.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in PET bottle manufacturing or packaging.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary expert for mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting on Sidel SBO Series 1 rotary blow molding machinery.
• Overhaul and fine-tune preform infeeds, oven heating profiles, mandrel drives, blow wheels, and mold changeovers.
• Maintain high-pressure pneumatic systems (7–40 bar), 40-bar blow valves, and air recovery circuits.
• Support vital plant utilities, including high-pressure air compressors and process chillers.
• Perform basic PLC diagnostics (Siemens S5/S7) and reading schematics to rapidly resolve line stoppages.
