Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to provide predictive, preventive, and emergency mechanical and electrical services across production and facilities. You will diagnose issues, install and test equipment, read blueprints, manage work orders electronically, and collaborate with machine operators to keep processes running safely and efficiently.

This role requires strong safety focus and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in plant maintenance and repair.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and document malfunctions in mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Strong communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on plant electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment to ensure proper function.
• Inspect equipment for defects and identify causes of errors.
• Use computers to manage work orders, document work, and requisition parts/materials.
• Coordinate with machine operators to diagnose malfunctions and verify system problems.
• Read diagrams and blueprints; perform welding and machine shop tasks as needed.
• Work as a team member and perform duties with minimal supervision for senior technicians.
