Job summary

Professional Packaging Systems (Pro Pac) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service and repair form fill and seal equipment, shrink wrap systems, and related warehouse infrastructure in our Charlotte, NC facility. The role requires strong electrical/mechanical skills and reliable documentation of work performed.

You will handle preventive maintenance, read schematics, and coordinate with facilities and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, 5 years equivalent experience.
• Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CMMS software (Preventive Maintenance/Work Order distribution systems).
• Understanding encoders and equipment timing.
• Knowledge of Servo drives and motors.
• Variable Frequency drive operation and configuration.
• Basic knowledge of logic software.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse machinery.
• Document maintenance records, inspections, and repairs.
• Select repair parts and update parts records.
• Repair mechanical/electrical components; may include welding, brazing, soldering.
• Maintain batteries and chargers; troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Read schematics, manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
