Job summary

VACCO Industries, a Subsidary of ESCO Technologies Inc., in South El Monte, California, seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauls on pumps, motors, conveyors and hydraulic systems using diagrams and manuals.

Fabrication and testing of parts with lathe, drill press, grinders; basic electrical repairs; and coordination with outside vendors for repairs.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprint, drawings and manuals.
• Knowledge of etching, chemical process equipment, and repair of pumps, motors, gear boxes, conveyers and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with simple rigging, shop equipment operation, and mobile equipment operation.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools to complete work assignments.
• Clear written and verbal communication; basic MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and manuals.
• Fabricate, assemble and test parts such as pumps, valves, compressors and other mechanical components.
• Operate, troubleshoot and repair equipment in a production environment; perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace fuses, switches and circuit breakers.
• Carry out plumbing repairs and maintain facility systems.
• Repair pumps, motors, gear boxes and hydraulic systems.
• Set up and use lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools.
