Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced IoT Engineer (Industrial IoT) for a fully remote U.S. position. You will architect end-to-end IIoT solutions, connecting edge devices to cloud services and enterprise systems.

Candidates should have 12+ years of IIoT or industrial software experience, strong Python/C++/Go skills, and hands-on work with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and Sparkplug B. Cloud and edge runtimes experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 12+ years of IIoT or industrial software experience.
• Strong programming in Python, C++, or Go.
• Hands-on with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B.
• Experience with at least one cloud IoT platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on with edge runtimes (Greengrass, IoT Edge).
• Solid OT/IT integration patterns.
• Experience with streaming and real-time analytics.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions spanning edge devices, gateways, connectivity and cloud platforms.
• Design data acquisition pipelines from PLCs, SCADA, and sensors using OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B.
• Build edge computing apps using AWS IoT Greengrass, Azure IoT Edge, or similar.
• Implement secure connectivity with mTLS, cert rotation, and zero-trust models.
• Build cloud ingestion/processing pipelines with AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Kafka.
• Develop real-time analytics, anomaly detection and predictive maintenance models.
• Create operational dashboards and alerts for plant managers and operators.
• Integrate IIoT data streams with MES/ERP/CMMS/historian systems.
