Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an IoT Engineer (Industrial IoT) for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will architect end-to-end IIoT solutions across edge, gateway, and cloud platforms, focusing on secure data pipelines and real-time analytics.

Requirements include 6+ years in IIoT, strong Python/C++/Go skills, and experience with OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B, plus AWS/Azure/GCP cloud exposure. This is a full-time W2 position offering growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of IIoT or industrial software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Go.
• Hands-on experience with industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B).
• Experience with cloud IoT platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with edge runtimes (Greengrass, IoT Edge).
• Solid OT/IT integration patterns and real-time analytics exposure.
• Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end IIoT solutions spanning edge devices, gateways, connectivity, and cloud.
• Design data pipelines from PLCs, SCADA, sensors using OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, Sparkplug B.
• Build edge computing apps with Greengrass, IoT Edge or similar.
• Implement secure connectivity with mTLS and certificate rotation.
• Develop cloud ingestion/processing with AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Kafka.
• Create real-time analytics, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance models.
• Build dashboards/alerts for plant managers and operators.
• Integrate IIoT streams with MES/ERP/CMMS/historian systems.
• Mentor junior engineers; participate in code/design reviews.
• Evaluate new IIoT platforms and advise on adoption.
