Job summary
VHB is seeking a Project Manager/Industrial Hygienist to join our New Jersey Industrial Hygiene team. You will independently manage small- to mid-sized projects, develop client relationships, prepare proposals, lead investigations, and mentor junior staff while helping expand our Industrial Hygiene practice.
The team is based in New Jersey and supports projects primarily throughout NJ, NY, and PA, with occasional overnight travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- AHERA Asbestos Inspector and Asbestos Project Designer certifications required.
- EPA and NJ Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor certifications required.
- Experience managing projects with asbestos and indoor environmental services.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage IH projects from proposal to completion, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead indoor environmental assessments and hazardous materials investigations (asbestos, mold, lead, PCBs).
- Design and oversee remediation projects compliant with regs and standards.
- Develop client relationships and support business development.
- Prepare proposals, reports, cost estimates, and documentation.
- Mentor junior staff and coordinate field activities.
