Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Safety Manager I to lead the development and implementation of advanced HSE programs. You will supervise a team of HSE professionals, drive regulatory compliance, and advance safety performance across multiple locations.

Qualified candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 7+ years IH/HSE experience, and CIH or plan to obtain CIH within one year. Strong leadership and communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of IH/HSE experience.
• CIH or ability to obtain CIH within 1 year.
• Experience leading IH/HSE programs and teams.
• Knowledge of applicable federal/state/local regulations.
• Experience with IH surveys and exposure assessments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial hygiene program ownership and hazard control across facilities.
• Oversee exposure monitoring programs (chemical, noise, respiratory, radiation).
• Develop and manage respiratory protection, confined space, fall protection, and medical surveillance programs.
• Ensure OSHA/state/local regulatory compliance across locations.
• Provide training and mentorship to HSE and operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in health protection and safety culture.
