Job summary

GFS Chemicals is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to join our Shared Services Division in Columbus, OH. This role will diagnose, repair, maintain, install, and commission industrial HVAC/R systems, mentor technicians, and coordinate contractor work to ensure safe, reliable operation.

The position requires 8+ years of HVAC/R experience, strong electrical troubleshooting, and expertise in building automation, with a focus on safety, planning, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC/R apprenticeship, trade-school certificate, associates or equivalent training.
• 8+ years HVAC/R experience on commercial/industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced corrective, preventive, predictive maintenance on industrial HVAC/R systems.
• Troubleshoot complex failures using history, alarms, testing; identify root causes.
• Install and commission HVAC/R equipment; read diagrams and specifications.
• Mentor technicians in HVAC/R diagnostics and safe work practices.
