Job summary

Traylor Industrial in Greer, SC is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects. You will take-off quantities, assemble vendor pricing, and assist management in bid preparation and scheduling.

You’ll engage with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to refine estimates and support successful bids. Knowledge of Bluebeam, HeavyBid or Procore is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business management or related field OR minimum 5 years estimating experience.
• 5–10 years of field experience in industrial and power construction.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication; strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read contract documents to prepare accurate project cost estimates.
• Take-off material quantities from drawings to develop pricing.
• Assemble RFPs for pricing; compare proposals for best value.
• Prepare proposal schedules and attend pre-bid/site walks.
• Consult with clients and vendors to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Explain project scope and cost estimates to upper management for approval.
