Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to design and optimize production systems for prefabrication and delivery. You will lead teams, apply Lean principles, and drive standard work and flow-based manufacturing across manufacturing and logistics.

Responsibilities include improving layouts, coordinating with product and operations teams, reviewing data for opportunities, and coaching engineers to ensure practical, rigorous applications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in applying IE principles to optimize production systems.
• Experience leading industrial engineering teams or initiatives.
• Strong background in Lean and continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design, implementation, and improvement of industrialized production systems supporting prefabrication and product delivery efforts.
• Apply industrial engineering principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve predictability across manufacturing, logistics, and assembly operations.
• Lead industrial engineers and ensure consistent application of standards and methods.
• Manage development and deployment of production systems, standard work, and flow-based manufacturing approaches.
• Oversee optimization of factory layouts, workcells, and material handling to improve throughput and quality.
• Apply Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods to reduce variability, waste, and rework.
• Coordinate with product, computational design, and operations teams to align digital and physical production systems.
• Review production data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Guide quality control, inspection processes, and compliance efforts within prefab operations.
• Coach and develop industrial engineers, ensuring technical rigor and practical application.
