Job summary

Unclassified is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to optimize production operations at our Newark, NJ facility. You will lead Lean initiatives, analyze processes, and drive continuous improvement across production teams to boost productivity, quality, and cost performance.

The role requires a strong background in process design, workflow optimization, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, with excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Significant experience in manufacturing process design, optimization, and improvement is required.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills are essential.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
• Proficiency with engineering software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.
• Design and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Evaluate production workflows and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Utilize data analysis to monitor performance and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams to meet goals.
• Support facility layout planning, workflow optimization, and capacity planning.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and operational standards.
