Job summary

NR Consulting is seeking a Process Engineer II in Slingerlands, NY to lead process improvements and optimize manufacturing operations. The role requires 3–6 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering and a strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM (Master's preferred).
3–6 years of process/manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Experience with CAD or process simulation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
Analyze production data to improve efficiency, quality, material flow, and productivity.
Support Kaizen events, 5S, Kanban, SPC, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Improve inspection processes, tooling, and manufacturing workflows.
Support capital projects through ROI analysis and business case development.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering teams.
