Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing process improvement, lead lean initiatives, and optimize plant layout to boost efficiency and throughput. The role includes mentoring engineers and technicians, and coordinating with production managers to remove bottlenecks.

The engineer will work on redesigning manufacturing areas, improving tooling and fixturing, and evaluating equipment for better manufacturability and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology required; Master’s degree preferred
• Lean manufacturing and quality management knowledge preferred
• 7+ years of work experience preferred
• CAD proficiency required; SolidWorks preferred
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma and problem solving (5 Whys, A3, PDCA) preferred
• Excellent time management, adaptability and leadership skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple priority projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead complex manufacturing process improvement projects
• Optimize plant layout and oversee new equipment implementations
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to improve throughput, quality and manufacturability
• Suggest improvements to tooling, fixturing and equipment
• Provide ROI analysis for capital expenditures and guide safety considerations
