Job summary

Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corporation is offering an Industrial Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027. The internship targets sophomores or juniors pursuing engineering and applies classroom skills to real-world projects in a dynamic plant environment.

You will support the Engineering Manager with projects, map processes, eliminate bottlenecks, redesign layouts, perform line balance reviews, and execute time studies, gaining exposure to day-to-day industrial engineering activities.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior year pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail a must.
• Creative problem-solving skills essential; strong analytical skills desired.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• AutoCAD Experience Required.
• GPA desired: 3.0 or better.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Manager with projects to support the manufacturing plant.
• Optimize workflow by process mapping.
• Eliminate bottlenecks to increase efficiencies.
• Redesign/optimization of layouts.
• Conduct line balance review of assembly lines.
• Execution of time studies and standards development.
