Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a senior Industrial/Facilities Engineer to apply Lean methods across fab and facilities processes. You will lead cross-functional improvements, develop standard work, and drive safety and reliability improvements in support of IC fabrication and lab operations.

You will partner with IC Fab, labs, and business teams to map value streams, conduct Kaizen events, and implement 5S, PDCA, and FMEA to reduce downtime, waste, and risk while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Facilities Engineering or related field.
• 10–12 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, facilities, or industrial engineering.
• Proven success leading Lean assessments and 5S with measurable results.
• Working knowledge of error-proofing, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements, including corrective and preventive actions and internal audits.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OSHA requirements in facilities operations.
• Experience developing and launching processes, SOPs, and workflows.
• Strong data skills with Excel; experience using Power BI and Minitab.
• Clear communication across teams and with management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IC Fab and business teams to understand priorities, pain points, and schedules.
• Align facilities improvements with business processes to protect uptime and timely delivery.
• Coordinate shared processes with fab maintenance, including shutdowns and changeovers.
• Lead Kaizen events and root-cause investigations, building shared ownership of solutions.
• Establish regular touchpoints to review metrics and set priorities.
• Lead Lean assessments, 5S, value stream mapping across facilities processes supporting fab and services.
• Develop standard work for facilities technicians and service teams.
• Define and track metrics like work order cycle time, uptime, and cost per square foot.
• Design for safety and risk reduction with lockout/tagout and safety controls.
